Our review

We visited Bistro Chi-Q (📍1669 Pear St, Victoria, BC), one of our go-to spots for comforting gamja-tang. We’ve been coming here so often that the staff already know us. Everyone is genuinely so kind and welcoming! Our usual order never changes: gamja-tang, soy garlic chicken, rice & kimchi… and this time they even surprised us with free spring rolls 😭 always such a sweet touch! ——— ꕤ Table for Three Scorecard ꕤ 🚪 ENTRY: Ground level with a manual door that opens wide, stroller-friendly and easy in/out 🛒 SPACE: Spacious and flexible; we’ve even managed 3 strollers here without feeling cramped (just some table shuffling) 🪑 SEATING: High chairs available and clean (always appreciated with little ones!) 🚼 ESSENTIALS: No changing table, so best to pack a small diaper kit + portable mat just in case 🦖 CHAOS VIBE: 4/5, lively and family-filled, so toddler noise blends right in 🌳 WIND-DOWN SPOT: Mt. Tolmie Park, a perfect post-meal escape for families with little ones. Easy drive from the restaurant with quick parking near the summit. ——— If you’re always on the lookout for easy wins where kids are actually welcome (and the food is solid), this one’s a keeper!
