Our review
Mother’s Day brunch at a little spot called Charlotte & the Quail (📍505 Quayle Rd, Victoria, BC).
I went in thinking it would be one of those calm, pretty brunch moments… coffee, slow bites, maybe a toddler sitting still for more than 30 seconds 😅
Instead it was crumbs everywhere, a very happy little human running the show, and me forgetting what half the menu was called the second it hit the table.
We had their Mother’s Day menu: cappuccino, pink rose latte, golden breakfast, oatmeal pancakes, and that tuna with greens & beans situation (no idea what it’s actually called anymore but it was so good 👌🏽). Everything was genuinely a hit!
It was everything I imagined and more! Good food, garden air, a toddler having the best time, and one very happy mama. So special getting to celebrate Mother’s Day surrounded by other moms doing the same.
We’ll definitely be back.
ꕤ Table for Three Scorecard ꕤ
🚪 ENTRY: Easy ground-level access. Stroller-friendly outside, but inside is a bit tight, patio is your best bet if it’s open.
🤍 SPACE: Small and cozy. Doable with a stroller, just not a lot of wiggle room.
🪑 SEATING: High chairs available, but tables are close together so it can feel a bit snug.
🚼 ESSENTIALS: No change table. One washroom. Quick changes are easier outside or in the car.
🦖 CHAOS VIBE: 3/5 — calm garden setting, but toddler energy always adds its own layer 😅
🌳 PANIC EXIT: You’re inside The Gardens at HCP, so worst case just step outside into the gardens for an easy reset.
